School Renovation Fund

School Renovation Fund

During the past few years the St John’s School environment has been much improved with building additions, which have created more space such as:

  • School office refurbishment – 2019
  • Class R & Year 4 toilet refurbishment – 2020
  • Staff Room/changing room roof resurfacing – 2021
  • New solar dome – 2022

To help the school, the Governing body has set up the ‘School Renovation Fund’ to accept donations from parents and carers.  This fund is sustained only through the kind donations from our families.

Over the years we have had many generous donations from parents/carers, either as ‘one off’ gifts, or regular (monthly, termly or annual) donations. For taxpayers all donations can take advantage of the government’s ’Gift Aid’ scheme, which enables us to claim an additional 25p from HMRC for every £1 given

For major renovation projects the school makes a grant application to the Diocese however this grant does not cover the full cost of renovations and the school is required to fund 10% of any project. The school renovation fund is used contribute towards this cost.
